If you’re a breastfeeding mama, it’s no secret that it makes you super hungry, like so hungry you could f*ck up the value menu at any number of fast food restaurants. But, we all know that would be bad, very bad. Not only as a breastfeeding mama, but as a new mama, I think it’s important to try to eat pretty healthily. I want to fill my milk with healthy fats, and also want to give myself energy and valuable calories to get through my day and sleepless nights. But, don’t get me wrong, put a pint of ice cream in front of me and it will disappear.
But, when all is said and done, I still crave french fries like no other. They re my favorite food and I could eat them with every meal, breakfast included. No one has time to actually fry fries these days, so I want to share this super easy, and super delicious recipe from my favorite cooking blog, Real Food Honestly. (quick side note: the lovely pictures you see on my about page were taken by the lady behind this delicious blog. Hi Brandi!)
Check out the recipe for the RFH Crispy Oven Baked Garlic French Fries here. No joke, I make these at least once a week.
Recipe via Real Food Honestly (serves 2)
3 large potatoes of your choice (or 1lb bag of mixed, like we used)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
- Pre-Heat the oven to 425°
- Grease baking pan with olive oil, everywhere
- Cut potatoes into thin or thick wedges (we prefer thin for extra crispy-ness)
- Place fries in oven, bake for 20 mins and flip fries
- Toss with tablespoon of garlic
- Bake for 10 more minutes, or until desired crispy-ness
- Toss in parsley
- Serve with Spicy Ketchup, YUM
I love to cook…and eat so you’ll be getting a lot more of my favorite recipes, inspired meals, and homemade creations.
